#500646 -- Of all the Confederate swords and sabers, this was the one most often used. The troops of Wade Hampton, J.E.B. Stuart and Nathan Bedford Forest decimated Union troops with this distinctive saber. The brass guard is similar to that of the 1860 Light Cavalry Saber. This authentic, hand-made replica has a flexible, ornate blade, a leather grip wrapped in brass wire. The scabbard has brass furniture and ring mounts. You'll find it listed in Albaugh's Confederate Edged Weapons on Pg. 137. 34" blade, 40" long overall. Sold unsharpened with factory edge.
