Authentic, Non-Firing Replicas of Classic Guns in Framed Sets
A ball from a single-shot derringer like this replica altered the course of history when it was used by John Wilkes Boothe to assassinate President Abraham Lincoln. The gun Booth used was known as a "Baby Philadelphia" Derringer, a single shot, percussion cap pocket pistol originally designed in 1850. Our non-firing replica of the derringer comes in a wooden presentation box with a history card.
On Good Friday, April 14, 1865, John Wilkes Boothe, a Confederate sympathizer, John Wilkes Booth shot and killed President Abraham Lincoln, as he watched a production of "Our American Cousin" at Ford’s Theater in Washington D.C. Boothe escaped Ford’s Theater badly injured and was killed by federal soldiers on April 26, 1865.
