The German Army accepted this improved design on June 25, 1935. The helmet was press-formed in several stages of molybdenum steel. Separately inserted hollow rivets replaced the large vent lugs found on WWI helmets. The rim was rolled under for a smooth edge, and it received an updated liner and chinstrap. This high-quality replica is made of steel with a leather headliner and chinstrap.
