This Imperial German spiked Helmet was standard ceremonial issue for the German cavalry from the Franco-Prussian War to the end of WWl. It features a steel bowl with a lobster-tail neck plate. The brass helmet badgeplate bears the Prussian Eagle, with the motto, "mitt Gott fur Koenig und Vateland" ("With God for King and Fatherland") with liner. National color rondels, secured by the officer's brass scaled chin strap. Size 7-1/2".
